Cookie policy

This page explains what cookies are, which ones MascotitaKit uses and how you can control them, in plain language.
What is a cookie?
A cookie is a small file a website stores in your browser. It remembers things between visits, such as your preferences or whether you already closed a notice. Similar to this is the browser's local storage (localStorage), which keeps data only on your device.
What we store on your device
- Your tools: what you type into the tools (your pet's name, weight, vaccines, photos, daily tip streaks) is saved in your browser's local storage. It never leaves your phone or computer.
- Your preferences: we remember which pet you picked (dog, cat or bird) and whether you closed the cookie notice.
- Installable app: the site keeps a copy of some pages so it loads faster and works on a weak connection.
All of this is needed for the site to work and is not used to track you.
Third-party cookies
- Google Analytics (when active): counts visits in aggregate, for example how many people use each tool or which country they come from. It helps us decide what to improve. It uses cookies such as
_ga. - Google AdSense (when active): shows ads and may use cookies to make them more relevant and to measure performance. See how Google uses data and turn off personalized ads in Google's ad settings.
- Amazon: if you click a product in the shop, Amazon may use cookies to record the purchase. The price does not change.
How to delete or block cookies
You can delete this site's cookies and storage from your browser settings (Chrome: Settings → Privacy and security → Cookies and site data; Safari: Settings → Safari → Advanced → Website Data). Keep in mind this also deletes the data you saved in the tools.
You can also browse in private mode: everything is deleted when you close the window.
